Chocolate Chunk Cream Cheese Bites * low carb * gluten free *

I was having a craving for something rich and sweet.  I remembered this dip I made once for one of the kids’ birthday parties and it sounded exactly like what I was craving.  We were headed to the movies to escape the heat and quell the constant bickering between my kids (it’s been a long summer, people), and I knew I would want a little something to help me resist the aromas of movie theater popcorn.  I was able to whip this up super quickly and still get to the movie on time.  Don’t tell the movie police, but I smuggled in a tiny container of this and a spoon and enjoyed while I watched Kevin Spacey turn into a cat.In the pictures, it shows it rolled up into round bites, but you can totally just go at with a spoon. It’s as indulgent as eating cookie dough with a spoon without all the guilt. It would also be yummy dipped with apple slices if you can afford the few extra carbs.

Sounds great, but what is Gentle Sweet?

Hi Ronala, I'm sorry I forgot to include the link. Gentle Sweet is a sweetener that is a Xylitol, Erythritol & Stevia Blend. You can find it on Amazon or on the Trim Healthy Mama website. Here's a link to Gentle Sweet on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019PHEIVA/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B019PHEIVA&linkCode=as2&tag=jessistarrpho-20&linkId=564d8ce871478db7bccadee34880f1f1 If you would rather, you could substitute Truvia or similar using the same amount.

I have a box of Nativa sachets in the pantry. Can I use that instead of gentle sweet?

Yes, I'm sure you could, however I haven't tried it and I don't know conversion ratios. I tried to look on their website but found nothing. If you tried it, let me know and how much you used and if it was a success!

    Can I just use Erythritol?

Yes, it will work. The result may have a little more of that cooling effect.

These look (and sound!) exactly like what I am craving! Love my choco/pnut butter fat bpmbs, but sometimes ya just want cookie dough! Gonna try it with Stevia. Sugar alcohols are not nice to me. :-) Thanks for recipe!

This is the best fat bomb yet! Added 1/4 c. chopped pecans. Bliss.

Yes, I guess it depends on the size you make them...Mine do tend to be bigger. I will change the recipe to read 'ping pong ball sized'. Thanks!
